The famous psychic octopus has reportedly passed away – he peacefully died in his sleep. Paul became widely known all over the world for his ability to predict the result of a soccer match. During the latest world cup he correctly forecasted all 8 games he was asked to make predictions on. One of those games was the final game between Spain and the Netherlands. He was a true soccer fan! Adios Paul and you will be remembered for many world cups to come!

Last night I went to AMC for the advance screening of Paranormal Activity 2 (thanks for the ticks miss DK). I haven’t seen the first one, but I actually wanted to see the second one given the buzz from the first one. The second film sucked! It was so boring until the last 20 or so minutes. The film is all about this paranormal stuff haunting a family and trying to scare the audience…really?!?! No…it was not scary at all, it was a pure let down of cheap suspense. During the first hour you learn about the family and you start seeing weird things happening in the house…BORING! You get creepy music here and there trying to create all this suspense that really has been done over and over before. In this case it sucked even more because the music started low and slowly got louder and then it stopped. Also, on a rare occasion you hear a loud bang…wow…so scary…NOT! Then during the last part of the film crazy stuff happens to the family, but I was so bored and annoyed by the film that I didn’t really care. Sure have people walk all zombie like, people being killed, people dragged around the house, but do a better job getting there so viewers are actually interested…Thanks.
I am so glad I didn’t pay a single cent for this film…it was just garbage!! People save your money and go watch something else. If you really want to see this film then just wait for it on DVD or watch it online or sneak in the theater (yeah that’s right I said it…for this film I actually believe it’s ok to sneak in). As you can tell I really disliked the film and wouldn’t recommend this at all! Some people seemed scared…why…I have no clue! I will not be watching the first Paranormal Activity…well to be honest, I was only going to watch it if it was on tv…haha…now I won’t even bother. Looking back, I truly regret not getting me some nachos and cheese. Food always makes me happy J.
This morning I went to Tim Hortons wanting to try their new oatmeal offerings and I got nada. They are advertising the maple and berries oatmeal but they had neither. I am not a big fan of oatmeal to begin with, so I was already making a big effort with actually going there and ordering it. Now I don’t really care for it. If anyone has tried it or is going to try it, let me know how it is.
You should get the game if you don't have it. It's addictive... and fun when you have nothing else going on and when you're on your way to work/school.
I'm done all levels and now I'm waiting for new ones to be added so I can avoid being trapped by those little spiders.
I agree with the overall ranking. The year Lost made its debut everything changed!...it was and still is an amazing show!! I miss Alias as well. TBBT & TAR..all great shows!
I was able to see the movie last night at an advance screening and the movie was…well…funny and gross! The movie was alright, but it’s not something that I would be dying to see.
My issues with the movie:
vWhy was it in 3D??? Porque??? It was completely pointless!
vWhy was there a movie to begin with? Hahaha…ok, ok sure make a movie but really 90 or more minutes of this stuff…um NO! Yes, the stuff they do is crazy and funny, but I was ready to leave midway.
vThey actually charge money for this?? …ok it wasn’t an issue for me since I didn’t pay, but I wouldn’t pay to see this movie.
Funny & Nasty Scenes:
vSweat scene…hilarious and just gross!!
vThe apple & pig...lol
vLast scene with the porta-potty…euwww….hahahaha...cannot believe he did that!
Ps. My collection of 3D glasses continues to grow J
Yesterday I forgot my lunch…so I decided to get Manchu Wok…I wanted some chicken wings. Given that I’m eating healthier I decided to go with something else; I ordered steamed rice, mixed vegetables, and grilled chicken. Go me!! When I went to pay, the customer in front of me asked if he was getting the right order. He paid and left. I paid for my order and went to sit down where my lunch peeps were.
When I got to the table I dropped my fork so I had to go back and get a new one. When I got back and opened my container…surprise… it was not my order. I had gotten someone else’s meal. I had noodles, shrimp with vegetables, and beef. So here I was… should I eat it or go back, say something and change it…ummm no!...I was already eating it by the time I finish the thought of taking it back. If the food was in front of me, then it was a sign I should eat it. It was good. Poor guy who got my order; he must have been disappointed and must have gone back and asked for the correct order. The meal I was eating was worth more than the one I had ordered and tasted better. It was a win-win situation for all!
Three actors from The Big Bang Theory - Simon Helberg (Howard), Kunal Nayyar (Raj) and Emmy-winner Jim Parsons (Sheldon) - are in Toronto today. They are making tv and radio appearances promoting the show, which has become a big hit in Canada; it is the number one comedy in the country. The premier of season four garnered about 3.1 million viewers, making it the second most watched comedy in Canada – just behind the Friends’ finale.
The actors will be at the CTV headquarters - 299 Queen West at 2pm for an etalk special. The live event will also include the Barenaked Ladies and they will be performing the show’s theme song, “The History of Everything.” The show will air Monday, October 11 at 7pm on CTV.
If you are going to the hockey game tonight, you might see them because the actors mentioned that they will be attending the game.
Today FadFind had a deal where you can get the iPad for $10...and yes apparently it is real. I have tried to get it but the site has been down for most of the day since the deal started at 11am...actually it started going slow around 9:30am. Around 5pm I managed to get in the site and it had 1 available and no luck, I got nada! If any of you out there managed to get one you should share it and give it to me. The deal will go on until 9pm tonight so hopefully I'll get a shot. It doesn't hurt to get one for ten bucks.
So I finally got Angry Birds & Fruit Ninja after several individuals telling me to get it and how good the games were. Over the last week I have become an addict….trying to make it to the next level, getting three stars, or beating my current record. Destroying other things can be fun and even more fun when you are competing against your friends. Both games are fun and could end up being time consuming. I say get the games, spend some hours playing and ignore the rest of the world; just have fun breaking down walls, killing green monster heads and slicing some fruits.
This year's Scotiabank Nuit Blanche is taking place on October 2. The free all night event begins at 6.57pm and concludes at sunrise on Oct 3. It’s a night full of art all over Toronto. For the past two years that I have attended it has attracted many individuals and I’m sure this year it will draw an even bigger crowd. It can be an interesting night just wondering the streets of Toronto in the late hours of the night with your friends, with other Torontonians, tourists, etc. Everyone is in a good mood checking out the art the city has to offer. I say go out, explore Toronto, have fun, see some art, hang out with your friends, and stay up all night.
