Breakfast

My breakfast this morning consisted of M&M’s and a hazelnut coffee. It was pretty good. I eventually ended up adding some M&M’s in the coffee…Some people at work thought it was gross but it wasn’t. The coffee just looked darker and the taste was extra chocolaty. Good way to start the day I tell you.  Also, don’t you like my M&M's bowl? It’s made of a large post it note….soooo creative.

Adele: "Someone Like You"

I like...It's Simple and good. Go Adele!

Oatmeal with a Colourful Twist

This morning I finally got the chance to try the mixed berry oatmeal from Tim Horton’s. I had previously tried, but they didn’t have it (even though they had signs all over Timmy’s promoting it…sadness!) Anyways, I got my oatmeal and it looked good given that it had mixed berries, but the taste was blah - It was pretty bland. I decided to add sugar and it was so much better. I know that it wasn’t not healthy choice since I overdue the whole sugar thing, but it made a big difference. After I had eaten the top part, with all the berries, the oatmeal looked extremely boring and dull, so I decided to add some M&M’s that I had at my desk (bad influence from the coworkers I tell you). The oatmeal looked colourful and alive. The taste was really good – very chocolaty and the crunchiness of the M&M shells was a nice touch. I will mention that after a while the M&M’s start melting and when you mix it all together the oatmeal looks a little a gross…haha… but it tastes good J

Next time you have an oatmeal just add some M&M’s and enjoy.

This movie looks good. I'm sure it will get lots of buzz during award season and will do well at the Oscars.

Trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

The latest book I read was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the book was awesome!! I strongly recommend the book for everyone to read. I am not a fan of reading, but I read the book pretty fast. The story is really interesting – the crime and mystery makes you want to keep reading and reading. If you haven’t read it, go read it!

Read the book before the movie comes out on December 23, 2011.

Returning Shows for 2011/2012

On Monday I made an entry listing the some of the new shows I am interested in watching for the new TV season. Today my post is a list of returning shows that I will be watching and recommend for everyone to watch.

I like all these shows so I will be listing it in order of the season premier night.

Sons Of Anarchy - An outlaw motorcycle club dealing with guns, drugs, gangs, family issues, & the law.... Awesome show!! The first two episodes of this season that I have seen have not been disappointing - they are really setting it up for another great season. (FX Tuesday at 9pm)

Modern Family – Winner of multiple Emmy’s this past weekend, including Best Comedy. It’s a really funny and entertaining show. If you haven’t seen any episode that is fine, just start watching the show…now!! I do recommend watching the pilot; it’s one of my favourite episodes. (ABC/CTV Sept 21 at 9pm...Tonight)

The Big Bang Theory – Another funny show! I have been watching the show since the first episode and still remains as one of my favourite shows. The crazyness the nerdy guys do on the show is hilarious. Plus, Kaley Cuoco is on the show….bonus points there. (CBS/CTV Sept 22 at 8pm)

The Amazing Race – The best reality show on TV for sure. And it won that title again this year at the Emmy’s….it has been winning everyone single year! You get to travel all over the world from the comfort of your own home. (CBS/CTV Sept 25 at 8pm)

Boardwalk Empire – Golden Globe Winner for Best Drama. It has the drama, fighting, killing, and other illegal activities that make the show stand out. The visuals are also pretty cool to see. It’s a well written, produced and directed period show. (HBO Sept 25 at 9pm)

Dexter – Crazy awesome show! The major story for each season has always been good! Season 4 and 5 definitely stand out for me and I am sure season 6 will not disappoint. (Showtime Oct 2 at 9pm)

The Walking Dead – A great post apocalyptic horror TV show. And if you are into zombies, you will like it even more. I like the whole fighting for survival aspect of the show…who knows, that may actually happen in real life….scary! (AMC Oct 16 at 9pm)

Other shows:

Glee – I still like it but not as much as I did back in season one. Season two was just all over the place and it had too many artist episodes, which were pointless and annoying. I hope this season is better and gets back to what it was in season one. (FOX/Global  Tuesday at 8pm)

Nikita – A good action show and it reminds me of Alias. (The CW Sept 23 at 8pm)

2011/2012 TV SEASON

The new TV season has started and here are my picks for the new shows that have caught my interest. I will watch the pilot and then write an entry indicating if the show is worth watching the rest of the season.

One of the most anticipated shows is Terra Nova. It looks cool and intense - production wise that is. The show will debut on Sept 26th on Fox at 9pm.

Next up is Pan Am on ABC/CTV. I like Christina Ricci, so I will be watching the pilot on Sunday, Sept. 25th.

Ringer marks the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar and I also like her, plus the show looks interesting. Ringer airs on the CW on Tuesdays at 9pm.

Then there is Person of Interest on CBS. It's a J.J Abrams show - I like his previous work (Alias & Lost) - so there is hope with this show. Begins on Sept. 22 at pm.

Sons of Anarchy

Next week the new TV season begins and one of my favourite shows, “Sons of Anarchy,” starts its new season on Tuesday. The show is about an outlaw motorcycle club and it’s really good – the topics, violence, killings, and family issues…awesome TV hour. The show will make its season four premier on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 on FX at 10pm. If you haven’t seen the show, I strongly recommend you watch it. I started watching the show this year and quickly caught up by watching the show on my way to work. This long weekend is perfect to get caught up and watch the previous three seasons. Each season is comprised of 13 episodes, so a “Sons of Anarchy” marathon for the long weekend sounds perfect. It’s a must see show!!

Here is the promo for season 4:

2011 MTV Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards were alright. They were kind of ruined because of one artist that was completely annoying and overexposed throughout the show. I won’t even mention the name…haha....because the person gets enough unneeded attention in the media. Anyways, here are my picks for best and worst performances of the night.

The worst performance was the opening act from the artist I am referring to above. Sorry but I wont even post the performance…too annoyed by the artist and their so called creativity.

The other bad performance was from Chris Brown. He knows how to put on a good performance but he ruins it with the horrible lip-synching. I found that he was trying too hard with the dancing and overall performance….basically trying to be Usher.

The best performance of the night was Adele. She performed her single, 'Someone Like You.' It was simple and good.

For those who want to see the worst performance of the night go to www.mtv.com and check out their awards coverage - the opening act will be there.
