New Shows

Two new shows that seem interesting and that I will be checking out come January 2012 are The Firm and Alcatraz. 

The Firm debuts on January 8 on NBC and Global. The show is based on the novel by the same name written by John Grisham. Given that the novel was a best-seller and the amount of promotion it's getting by NBC and Global, the show has a good shot at doing well in the ratings. 

If you look closely and you been outside commerce court, you can tell that some scenes were shot in down town Toronto.   

Alcatraz will premier on Fox on January 16, 2012. One of the reasons I am interested in watching the show is because of its premise (check out the promo below). The other reason is because some of the people - J. J. Abrams, Elizabeth Sarnoff, Jack Bender - who were behind Lost are also behind Alcatraz, so there is hope the show will be good. Also, it doesn't hurt that it was an honoree at the Critic's Choice TV Awards.

Fear Factor 2011

I can't believe I have been missing Fear Factor. After so many years off the air, it is back on NBC. I use to enjoy watching it...until NBC starting airing it everyday. Anyways, it is back on Monday nights at 9pm on NBC.

Fireball - Willow featuring Nicki Minaj

Here is the latest song, 'Fireball,' from Willow Smith. I am not really feeling this song or video. Even Nicki Minaj can't save the song. The song is not catchy and the video is not creative. The label is trying to make her as successful as Justin Bieber, but with this kind of song I don't really see that happening. I hope her next single and video are better because I did enjoy 'Whip My Hair.' Check out all her music videos below....enjoy.

The Dark Knight Rises

I can't wait for summer 2012. Above is the latest poster for the next Batman film. I'm definitely liking all the promo for The Dark Knight Rises. Later this month you can also see a prologue, which will be shown before the screening of the new Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol movie. 

G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer

The first movie, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, was not the best and it wasn't as bad as some people say it was. I was not going in with the expectation of a great storyline, so I wasn't that disappointed. I went to see the film for the action, fighting scenes, explosions, etc.. and that is why I am also liking the trailer for G.I Joe: Retaliation. Check out the trailer below. The movie comes out June 29, 2012.

My chair is killing me

So I have told several people over the years that one of my goals is to live past 100. I am working on making that happen. I have sort of changed my eating habits (I love food too much to just cut everything off...plus you have to indulge sometimes) and I am going to the gym (not as often as I should...but i am working on it).So today when I got to work the first thing I saw was this...

so basically I should quit my job....hahaha....I don't want to die young,  I need to make it past 100. I need to  spend less time with my comfy chair - I need to walk more around the office, go for walk during lunch, take the stairs, stretch here and there, run for longer periods of time, increase the intensity of my workout at the gym, less time sitting around at home, etc... Basically don't sit for too long!  I could always change my job...

December is here...

Decor at Brookfield Place 

It's December already...wow..time does fly. I'm happy it's December. Everyone always seems in a better mood when the holidays are just around the corner. I like the holidays...why?...well because soon it will Christmas!! I will be getting gifts...yup, that's right, I love getting gifts. I am not afraid to say I prefer to received than to give...haha! I think most people always go with the safe answer, but not me! So if you want to give me something go right ahead :) thanks! Anyway, since it's December I thought I would share some holiday music.
